Praying God’s Promises
With the Psalms
Sermons by Jared Keath

Psalm 110 may not come across as personal and relatable as other psalms. But it has to be in a series on Praying God’s Promises because it centres on the main promises of the bible. The only hope we have of a happy future depends entirely on these promises coming to pass.
The Day of Trouble
Believers sometimes go through a time of distress or trouble where God seems distant and and unable to help. The writer of Psalm 77 describes in great detail his own day of trouble. But he also describes a pathway out of the day of trouble. Therefore, this Psalm teaches us how to follow Christ when his footprints cannot be seen.
Apple of Your Eye
God promises to answer the prayers of his people. This Psalm demonstrates how to pray with the confidence that God will hear and answer our prayers. It all comes down to being the 'apple of God’s eye’.
Under His Wings
God promises to protect his people. But what does that actually involve? On the surface, Psalm 91 sounds like God's protection is from all trouble. But when we see it fulfilled in Christ, we realise that it is promising something far greater.
